Made by leading Puglian winery Tormaresca, who are owned by the prestigious Antinori, Calafuria is produced from vineyards that extend along the Adriatic coastline. Its name comes from one of the over 700 bays on the Apulian peninsula. The region boasts a long tradition for the production of ros wines made from Negroamaro, a variety that best expresses its full potential near the sea. Vinified in stainless steel, Calafuria is a ros that is crisp and refreshing delicate, pleasantly fruity, savoury and ample, reflecting the aromas and colours of its home territory, Salento. It offers up enticing flavours of peach and pomegranate with a hint of seabreeze freshness.
