The Matton-Farnet family has owned Chteau Minuty, a Ctes de Provence Classified Growth since 1955, for more than 85 years over four generations. It is tucked between land and sea in the heart of Provence. On the foothills above the towns of Gassin and Ramatuelle, overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the Chteau Minuty vineyard is exceptionally well placed. It benefits from a moderate marine climate and provides southern grape types pride of place. Everything for these special wines begins in the vineyards. As part of a continual improvement approach to lessen the impact of its operations on the environment, the Chteau's vines are grown using sustainable methods without the use of weedkillers or pesticides. One of the last properties in the Ctes de Provence, Chteau Minuty harvests all of its grapes by hand to guarantee their absolute purity. The operation is run by Jean-Etienne and Franois Matton, who have a strong connection to their land and have received their knowledge and skills from their ancestors.
