The family-owned Markou Vineyards dates back to 1928, with the talented Vasilis Markou currently at the helm. The estate has vineyards in both Attica and Nemea. Vasilis is one of the new wave of progressive Greek winemakers; technically gifted and willing to push boundaries in the search for quality. His winemaking puts a contemporary spin on the traditional Greek grape varieties and wine styles. A new addition to his range is the beautifully presented Euphoria Ros, made from a single vineyard of 20 year old Agiorgitiko vines in Nemea. A 5 hour cool maceration is followed by a controlled fermentation in stainless steel. The resulting wine is full of vibrant wild strawberry fruit with a hint of red cherry and a crisp, intensely mineral dry finish with a touch of spice. This is a high-class ros
