A wine of serious concentration and structure, this has an immediately complex and intense nose of both fresh and dried cherry, cranberry, toasted oak, iron, liquorice, star anise and vanilla. The flavours in the mouth are every bit as complex rosehips, black and red liquorice and a rich, chocolatey character. This has loads of energy and vivacity that makes it tempting to drink now, as well as the structure to age gracefully.
