Joseph Cartron has been a family run business since 1882, with strong roots in the town of Nuits-Saint-Georges at the heart of Burgundys cru vineyards. The soil of this region has been producing high quality fruit for centuries, which for many years have been used in the production of Burgundy wines. Cartron specialises in the production of liqueurs, crmes, ratafia, marc, eaux-de-vie, with a team of craftsmen using age old recipes. Joseph Cartrons Caramel Liqueur is made from liquid cooking caramel, a token of richness, flavour and greed. Its appetising amber colour, as well as its incomparable length in the mouth, produces a very elegant liqueur, perfect in the making of savoury cocktails. Tasting Notes: The nose is intense with salty butter and brown sugar notes. Hints of custard and vanilla sugar. The mouth is based on elegance and finesse. No feeling of sugarness.
